Here at OraWellness, we’re very particular about anything we put into or onto our bodies.
Why? Because we know that the bodily systems are all interconnected and affect each other. Anything we use in or on our bodies (especially in the mouth) can wind up having a ‘downstream’ impact on other areas of the body and even on our overall health.
So, we intentionally formulate our products without any of the questionable ingredients (fluoride, alcohol, parabens, etc.) that are commonly found in oral hygiene products.
You see, when we first founded OraWellness, we decided that one of our core principles would always be to do no harm.
Since we use a holistic paradigm to live our lives and because we know the mouth is the primary pathway that humans use to introduce new ‘stuff’ into our bodies, we realized that the products we create must take the whole body into consideration.
So, to do no harm, our products are formulated with ingredients that help support oral health without triggering any negative downstream whole-body impacts (no nasty chemicals or toxins here!). Here are links where you can learn more about our HealThy Mouth Blend ingredients, Shine ingredients, and OraWellness Smile toothpaste ingredients.
And when it comes to manufacturing our product solutions, our production team’s GMP certified lab tests each and every batch of our products for purity and contaminants. We want to make sure that the ingredients we’re putting into our products are authentic and free of any microbial life, impurities, or other foreign matter. After all, our customers, our team, and our loved ones all use our products daily.
So basically, we test to ensure that every production run of our products contains the high quality ingredients that they’re supposed to, and nothing else.
If you’re like us and you enjoy geeking out on these kinds of things, we invite you to check out the Certificates of Analysis (CoA) below for our HealThy Mouth Blend, Shine Remineralizing Tooth Whitening Powder, OraWellness Smile Hydroxyapatite Toothpastes, and MCHA.

I cannot use Xylitol due to UTIs. I’ve had urologists confirm this. Also my primary care doctor did some research that confirms this also. Now I have dry mouth (especially at night) which has led to cavities and having teeth pulled. I even tried just rinsing my mouth out with products containing xylitol prior to bedtime and it still caused UTIs. Can you tell me which products do not contain xylitol? Can your recommend a product without xylitol to help with dry mouth? Just for information: I don’t know that this is a common problem. I have a history of UTIs since a little girl. I just turned 70. I found a product that has helped prevent UTIs called GennaMD found at https://solvwellness.com/products
Aloha Kay,
Thank you for your comment reaching out to us.
You might find it helpful to know that our MCHA does not contain xylitol.
We sell our MCHA (microcrystalline hydroxyapatite—the main remineralizing ingredient in Shine) separately so folks can make their own remineralizing tooth powder and control which ingredients are included. Here’s a link to our article, How to make a DIY remineralizing tooth powder that really works.
We encourage you to experiment using different strategies and frequency of use to see which works best for you.
Since you mentioned dry mouth, many customers find our HealThy Mouth Blend helps to temporarily produce more saliva. You might find it helpful to know that our HealThy Mouth Blend does not contain xylitol.
HealThy Mouth Blend is effective as it helps in 3 ways:
1.) It freshens the breath
2.) It increases saliva production (which is important for maintaining a healthy level of good bacteria for healthy teeth and gums, and for maintaining fresh breath)
3.) It helps balance the oral microbiome
What’s in the HealThy Mouth Blend? (And why is it so effective?) discusses the role each ingredient plays in our blend.
How to Use the HealThy Mouth Blend shares 4 main ways to use our blend.
Oil pulling can help with dry mouth. “Can Oil Pulling Help Heal Leaky Gut?” discusses the technique we like to use when oil pulling. Feel free to add a few drops of the HealThy Mouth Blend to the oil when you oil pull.
You might also want to try exercising your saliva using the ‘Mouth Probiotics‘ technique to help you produce more saliva. Swishing with Shine and your saliva helps to deliver minerals back to your teeth.
I hope that helps!
Hi! I would like to know what percentage of MCHA is in the Shine tooth powder product? Thank you.
Aloha Egea,
Great question!
Here’s an FAQ with your answer: How much MCHA is in Shine (what’s the ratio / percentage / % of MCHA in Shine)?
I hope that helps! 🙂
Aloha!
Do you sell underarm deodorants? The Lord bless you for your genuine concern about blessing your customers with your products.
Aloha Mike,
We do not carry any deodorant products. The products we carry are limited to ones that improve oral hygiene.
Aloha!
Providing COA to customers is one of the first signs of an honest company. It’s surprising how many won’t if you ask and tell you some variation of “Just trust us bro, we have the highest standards. We can’t show you for some reason but definitely trust us.”
Can this tooth powder be used with coconut oil instead of using water on the toothbrush? Thank you!
Aloha Lisa,
Great question! 🙂
Yes, our Shine Tooth Powder can indeed be used with organic coconut oil instead of using water on the toothbrush.
Some of our customers like to mix Shine with organic coconut oil to form a paste to brush with. You can also add a few drops of HealThy Mouth Blend to the coconut oil paste. Coconut oil has plenty of antimicrobial and anti-fungal properties to support oral health.
Fluoride bad ?
Aloha Gia,
Thank you for your question!
Here’s a link to an article that explains some of our thoughts on fluoride: Is Fluoride Safe to Use?
I hope that helps. Aloha! 🙂
