Have you ever experienced issues like bleeding gums, chronic bad breath, or persistent gum redness, inflammation, or tenderness? These are common symptoms of periodontal disease (aka ‘gum disease’). They’re signals from the body that something is not right, and it needs help.
But a dentist can fix it for us, right?
Not necessarily.
The current “standard of care” temporarily addresses some periodontal disease symptoms and/or slows down the disease’s progression, but it can’t actually stop it, let alone any discussion of healing from it.
