How long does the HealThy Mouth System last?

When you purchase the HealThy Mouth System, you’re granted lifetime access to the online education materials. The system also comes with several physical components, and you can purchase replacements as you need them (as you use them up, if you lose them, etc.).

After you purchase the full system once, you’ll be able to purchase all individual replacement components through your account on our site whenever you need them. In other words, you’ll never need to purchase the full HealThy Mouth System again.

While we can’t say for certain how long these consumable / physical products will last (it varies based on how much you use them, if anyone else is using the product, etc.), we can give you an idea of how long they’ve lasted for us and for others.

Here’s a breakdown of the HealThy Mouth System’s physical components and a rough estimate of how long each of them will last:

    • Pack of EcoDent Floss (100 yds) – At 100 yards (around 91.44 meters) per package, this floss should last a while. The factors to take into consideration here are how often you floss and how much floss you use each time.
    • Jar of Shine (60g) – We estimate that a Shine jar can last for about 200 uses, but it will depend on how much you’re scooping out each time you brush and how often you’re brushing. You might find it helpful to check out this FAQ: How long will one jar of Shine last?
    • Bottle of HealThy Mouth Blend (15 ml) – One bottle of HealThy Mouth Blend is 1/2 ounce (15ml), and contains approximately 452 drops (give or take a few drops). With this in mind, and our recommendation of using 2-3 drops each time you brush, you will be able to factor in how often you intend to brush with it (we suggest twice daily) and do some math to estimate approximately how long it will last you. Feel free to check out our FAQ: How long does one bottle last?
    • Pocket Applicator – The Pocket Applicator has a plastic body and a blunted/rounded stainless steel tip. The tip is thin enough to be able to fit gently into the space that exists between a tooth and the surrounding gums (aka a “gum pocket”). Because of the Pocket Applicator’s thin tip, it does require special care to prevent clogs and keep it in good functional condition. Hopefully, if you take good care of it, it will last several months or even longer. Some folks have kept theirs working well for years.
