What can I use to clean/sanitize my red light device?

Great question!

If you feel inclined to clean the OraLight fiber optic tip, we believe it is best to refer to the device’s user manual for cleaning instructions, which can be found under the section, “How To Use”.

We’ve summarized it here:

• Please wipe the OraLight fiber optic tip with medical alcohol if it touches your skin.
• Put a silicone cover (i.e: the red cover that’s included with the device) on the OraLight fiber optic tip to protect it.

As a side note: personally, we do not bother to clean the tip if it touches our skin. However, if multiple people are going to be using the oral attachment in the mouth, it may be wise to clean between uses.

Also, in the Photobiomodulation booklet (that also comes with the device), on the page that reads, “13. Caution”, it states, “Our product is not waterproof.”

Our suggestion is to use an alcohol swab to rub it clean and to not put it into or under running water.
