I have a severely altered or damaged tooth (crown, filling, root canal, broken tooth, etc.). Will Shine help the tooth to regrow?

No, Shine will not help severely altered or damaged teeth to regrow, but it can help to support the remaining tooth structure.

Our teeth are made of minerals and proteins that are bound together in a honeycomb-like crystal structure. When an area has become demineralized but the “scaffolding” remains intact, minerals can be delivered to that demineralized area to strengthen the tooth.

However, if the actual tooth structure has become compromised (teeth that are chipped or broken, that have dental work, etc.), we can no longer simply remineralize that area to restore the tooth. Instead, we shift our focus to delivering minerals to what remains of the natural tooth structure, to ensure that it receives sufficient minerals to stay strong and cavity-free.
