Is OraWellness Smile packaged in a plastic tube?

Regrettably, at this time, yes. We held back this toothpaste project for several years, waiting and hoping for the market to provide a sustainable packaging solution for a toothpaste.

Ultimately, we decided that the risk of waiting any longer outweighed the impact. Are we right or wrong with that decision? It’s a value call, so there is no right or wrong. We’re doing our very best to help the world navigate the path to optimal oral health.

And in the last few years, we’ve watched so many hydroxyapatite toothpastes sprout up with formulas that, from our research, leave a lot to be desired. So we realized that we had to suck up our frustration about the limited packaging options and get OraWellness Smile into the hands of our community members who’ve been asking for it for years.

One slight plus is that our plastic tube is sourced from sugar cane. So, until we find a better packaging solution, at least in the meantime we’re avoiding the use of fossil fuels to produce these plastic tubes and instead sourcing the raw materials from a more sustainable option.
