We generally suggest about 1–2 minutes per area of focus.
A simple approach is to spend a short amount of time on each quadrant or area of concern, which often ends up being around 5-10 minutes total. More is not always better with photobiomodulation (PBM), so consistency tends to matter more than longer sessions. It’s also perfectly fine to focus on one specific area at a time rather than attempting to cover the entire mouth in one session.
One helpful strategy is to identify the “biggest insult” you want to support for 1–2 weeks and focus consistently on caring for that zone daily. After that period, reassess how the area feels and whether another area may now deserve your attention.
