Some folks find that they do need to regularly use Shine to help offset sensitivity. Others find that using it for a while helps minimize or even get rid of sensitivity, and they no longer need to use it every day.
Shine is intended to be a toothpaste alternative, so most of our customers brush with it twice daily, and have been doing so for years.
To give you a little background info, when we refer to a DEmineralized area in a tooth, we’re talking about minerals that are missing from that location. And when we talk about REmineralization, what we’re trying to do is deliver missing minerals back into an area to help shore it up again.
There are so many variables involved with the remineralization process. Each of us is unique, and we each have our own needs along our path.
Our teeth are being demineralized daily by a bunch of different factors (the microbes implicated with tooth decay, exposure to acidic foods/drinks, our level of nutrition, medications, etc.), so, depending on where a person is starting from, they may or may not have much ‘reserve’ protection on their teeth to stop sensitivity right away.
With that being said, over time, consistent daily use of Shine can help build up a mineral reserve in/on teeth to provide more resistance to sensitivity..
