I’m Wren, and I’m here to help.
My customer care journey got started (back in 2005) when I completed dental assistant school and started my first job in a dental office. While it’s true that, as a dental assistant, I was educated in all concepts of conventional dentistry, the most valuable thing I learned was how to better care for others.
When people come into a dental office to have a procedure done (a crown prepped, tooth extracted, cavity removed and filled), the vast majority of them are nervous, jumpy, and anxious. Some of them are downright terrified. I realized that my role as a dental assistant was so much more than suctioning spit and handing the dentist his instruments; I was there to make the patients as comfortable as I could, and do my best to help them feel cared for. It became my goal to help those patients, whose knees knocked as they walked towards the dental chair, leave with a steady step and a smile on their face.
That’s what I hope to do here at OraWellness, too: create an environment where you feel safe to ask questions and ask for help, knowing that we’ll do our best to assist you on your journey to greater oral health. If that assistance makes you smile, so much the better. 🙂
When I’m not helping customers or having fun with the OraWellness Team, you can find me in the middle of a gaggle of 2 or 3 kids, a dog, a cat, and sometimes a chicken or two. Usually this crew has followed me down to my vegetable garden, or to the front yard where I strive to keep perennial plants and sunflowers from being eaten by the local deer. Along the way, we’re probably singing.
